Safeguarding Policies

Attendance is mandatory for all placements as we have a duty of care for all of our students.Attendance can be taken in two ways. This can be with a paper form that all students have access to. We also have a private link to an attendance section of the website in which placement providers can complete a form electronically.

If you would like information about the web based attendance record please contact Mr Neill at

To ensure that our students are safe and secure at all work placements the school requires a copy of all our partners’ public liability insurance.

The Placements team will also need to complete a risk assessment of your premises to ensure that students will be working in a safe environment. We promise this is a painless process.

Staff will make two visits to work placements over the course of an academic year. This is again to ensure our safe guarding policies are in place and that students are fully engaging in the work placement programme.
