Work Placements- parent information

Parent Information:

During the first term at The Bath Studio School, students will prepare for their work placement, take part in interview for specific placements and develop key skills such as commination and team work by completing a number of employment activities. It is important for us that Students take work placements seriously and attendance must be recorded. Absences must also be reported to both the School and the placement provider to ensure safeguardingWe value parental support on this.

We also ask that parents are fully supportive of the work placement program and ensure that your son or daughter is attending work placements on their specific work placement day.

Placements in Sixth form take place once a week. Wednesday for our Year 12 cohort, Fridays for our Year 13. During Wednesday from term 2 onwards Students will have long term placements with companies in the industries they have shown an interest in.

From this experience students develop key employability skills that look incredible on a CV or application form. Better yet, as young people about to start in the world of work it is an invaluable experience to develop relationships with key industry experts!
